Oh Baby! Two Doctors Needed to Lift 14-Pound Newborn Out of Womb.

Maybe they thought they were California dreamin'? Doctors at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, Calif. couldn't believe their eyes when they took a gander at the baby in the womb of Sara Sault.

In fact, it took two of them to lift up 14-pound, 2-ounce Richard Walker Sault during the C-section, the OC Register reported Saturday.

"Oh my God!" a nurse gasped.

For a second, mom Sara thought something might be wrong.

But her bundle of joy was perfectly healthy when he came into the world on Dec. 23.

"We thought our first baby was a miracle, and now we have this little guy," dad Richard Sault told the OC Register. "Guess he's not so little."

Richard Sault Jr. is the largest baby ever delivered at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center – and possibly in Orange County, California, according to veteran doctors and an informal check of other major county hospitals.

"That's a big baby," Marty Wright, department manager of labor and delivery at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, told the newspaper. During her 21 years at the hospital, about 102,000 babies have been delivered.

BAD ECONOMY: DOG SHOPLIFTS BONE IN UTAH STORE!

A thief remains at large after pulling off a daring heist – in the pet food aisle.

Surveillance video at a supermarket in this Salt Lake City suburb caught a dog shoplifting, KSL-TV reported Wednesday. The video showed the dog walking in the front door of Smith's Food & Drug and heading straight to Aisle 16, the pet food aisle, where it grabbed a $2.79 bone.

The thief wasn't even perturbed by a face-to-face encounter with manager Roger Adamson. "I looked at him. I said `Drop it!'" Adamson said.

"He looked at me, and I looked at him, and he ran for the door and away he went, right out the front door."

Maybe the owners lost their jobs and the dog is desperate.

BLOGGING TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED: KJ SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY LAST NITE!

3am 11/27/08: Today is Thanksgiving in America. I have a lot to be thankful for but I live in Canada and it's just another day. School's open, offices are running, the mail and the Toronto Stock Exchange etc are all open. Last nite at exactly 5.37pm, my youngest illustrious, dynamic son KJ known as Popular Culture Kid, The Kid Reporter and Akon lookalike suffered a severe head injury. Every evening at 5.30pm, the kids are let go from the community center after school program and they all walk home. What I have noticed is that my neighbor's two kids always run at high speed thru the hallway to their door at the end of the hall.

Sadly last nite, KJ decided to run with them BUT I live in front of the elevator so his stopping distance was smaller. One of the kids called him and while running at high speed, he looked back and ran into the wall. I just heard a loud bang, opened the door and KJ was crying and ran into the house. My neighbors kids were actually "laughing" at the end of the hall as their mom opened the door for them.

That is when I told them to stop running and their mom asked if KJ was OK and I went in to call him out when I noticed he was bleeding heavily with his SKULL exposed! I screamed and my neighbor rushed over and we called 911. The operator was on the phone with us thruout as we were trying to apply pressure to stop the bleeding but KJ WAS SLIPPING OUT OF CONSCIOUSNESS! My son was immediately "heated up" as his temperature went to 99.1. HE WAS DYING! If you have a WEAK stomach or feel easily offended, DO NOT CLICK HERE!

As the medics came, they revived him and bandaged his head as the white bone showing thru the gash was his skull which was later x-rayed at the hospital and was not broken. He was stabilized in the ambulance and his face was "frozen" in the hospital. A term for temporary anesthesia so that he can get the complicated stiches. My older son rushed over and videotaped the whole ordeal. I didn't know if this was the end of KJ's tender 8 years on earth.

I will NOT be available as you know but you can e-mail me or write a comment or message me on Facebook. The laptop is right next to me on the bed. He is now asleep and is heating up a little, so I gave him fever reducers. I am supposed to watch for consciousness, dizziness, nausea and more. I cannot sleep because of this. The irony....he gets to watch his Thanksgiving parade on NBC Buffalo, NY channel later this morning afterall. He was just boasting about cutting school for Thanksgiving in "his country." We celebrated Thanksgiving here October 14th.

I wanna thank the Toronto EMS paramedics, police officers and firemen with the defibrillator on their truck for reviving my son KJ. If you call me at 647-344-5390, please just leave a message. UPDATE 11/27/08 10.29amEDT: Kayode Joshua is still very weak. I went ahead and recorded the parade for him as he is slipping in and out of sleep. Fever is down and he's extremely weak. Not hungry as he is nauseated. Doctor has me monitoring that. I will be back next week Wednesday Dec 3rd 2008 but check for short link updates. Boy, 12, Dies From Excessive Deodorant Use.

A coroner in Britain has determined that a 12-year-old boy died after using too much spray deodorant in a confined space, according to a report from abc.net.au.

Daniel Hurley collapsed in a January after spraying on Lynx deodorant in the bathroom of his Derbyshire home.

An inquest was told last week that a "volatile" agent in the deodorant upset the boy's heart rhythm.

He was hospitalized after the incident and died five days later from a cardiac arrhythmia, also known as abnormal heart rhythms, according to the report.

The boy’s father, Robert Hurley, told the inquest that Daniel was fit and healthy. He also took pride in his appearance, using hair gels and deodorants, which he often sprayed all over his clothes.

The coroner said it was combination of the deodorant and the fact that it was sprayed in a confined space that caused the adverse effect on the boy's heart.

His death followed an incident several weeks earlier when he had collapsed in the bathroom but quickly recovered, according to the report.

Boy Healthy After Doctors Remove Key From Brain!

A 1-year-old boy from Perryville, Ky., was stabbed through the eye with a car key after he accidentally fell on it.

An X-ray showed the key went through his eyelid and penetrated his brain.

“I’ll never forget that moment,” said Staci Holderman, Nicholas’ mother. “Nothing can prepare you for something like that.”

Doctors told Nicholas’ family the key could be removed without damaging his brain, and after it was surgically removed, there was no damage to his eyesight.

“Everyone will say, ‘Which eye is it?,’” Holderman said.

SCROOGE IS ALREADY IN TOWN IN MY BIRTHPLACE: Maryland Mall Tells Salvation Army Bell Ringers to Quiet Down

Salvation Army bell ringers were silenced this season inside a Maryland mall after complaints came in from neighboring merchants that the clanging was too loud.

Valley Mall in Hagerstown told the charity to replace the clappers inside their bells with paper clips for a quieter ring.

The Salvation Army's Maj. Robert Lyle said that the three volunteers inside the mall have complied with the request. The two stationed outside the shopping center still have the louder-sounding bells, he said.

The charity's workers traditionally ring bells during the holiday season to get passersby to drop donations for the poor into their red kettles.

The complaints about the noise came from kiosk- and cart-based businesses in hallways near the bell ringers, according to Valley Mall Marketing Director Brian Kaltenbaugh.

Lyle said he can sympathize.

Salvation Army bells elsewhere around Washington County will ring at full volume, Lyle told the Hagerstown Herald-Mail.

The charity is aiming to raise about $100,000 for the needy this year in spite of the nation's economic woes, according to the Herald-Mail.

Experts: Interrogation of boy, 8, 'out of bounds'

The third-grader's legs dangle at times from an overstuffed chair as he answers the questions of two female police officers. His manner and voice are casual, even helpful, but his words are shocking.

And so, legal analysts say, were the methods police used to obtain them.

By the time the boy was finished talking, say police in St. Johns, Arizona, he'd confessed to a premeditated double murder.

The 8-year-old is charged in juvenile court with killing his father, Vincent Romero, 29, along with Tim Romans, 39, a man who rented a room in Romero's home. Police have said the boy confessed to shooting the men. He has not entered a plea.

He will be allowed to leave a juvenile jail for 48 hours to spend Thanksgiving with his mother, a judge ruled Wednesday.

The furlough will start at noon November 26 and end at noon on November 28, Apache County court administrator Betty Smith told CNN.

Man walks into California bar with pet alligator on leash; cops called.

Heard the one about the guy who walked into a bar with an alligator?

At Johnny's Saloon in Orange County, California, it was no joke.

Authorities say a man walked into the bar early Saturday with a one-metre pet gator on a leash.

But by the time police and animal control officers arrived, the gator was in the man's vehicle in the parking lot. So officers followed the man to his home, where another alligator was found.

Animal control spokesman Ryan Drabek says both critters were impounded and are being held pending an investigation by the Department of Fish and Game.

Alligators are not native to California and it is illegal to keep them as pets.

Trick-or-treater, 12, shot to death, police say.

As much as we had a great Halloween night here in Canada, there was a sad story in America!
An ex-convict who said he thought he was being robbed gunned down a 12-year-old trick-or-treater, spraying nearly 30 rounds with an assault rifle from inside his home after hearing a knock on the door, police said Saturday.

Quentin Patrick, 22, is accused of killing 12-year-old T.J. Darrisaw on Friday night. T.J.'s 9-year-old brother, Ahmadre Darrisaw, and their father, Freddie Grinnell, were injured but were released after being treated at a hospital.

The family attended a Halloween celebration in downtown Sumter, 45 miles east of Columbia, then stopped at Patrick's house because the porch light was on, police said. Another sibling was with them but wasn't hurt.

Police said at least two of the boys were wearing ghoulish masks when they knocked on the door. The boys' mother and a toddler stayed in the car nearby.

Patrick emptied his AK-47, shooting at least 29 times through his front door, walls and windows after hearing the knock, Police Chief Patty Patterson said.

He told police he had been robbed and shot in the past year.

Pakistani Police Arrest Cleric Who Presided Over Kids' Wedding?

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Police raided a wedding between a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl in Pakistan's largest city, arresting the Muslim cleric officiating at the ceremony and the children's parents, a senior officer said Friday.

The cleric had not yet begun the ceremony in Karachi, which was attended by 100 guests, said deputy superintendent of police Malik Mazhar.

Pakistan law forbids marriage below the age of 18, but some Muslim scholars say it is permissible if the bride and groom have reached puberty.

TV footage showed both children in traditional wedding clothes in the laps of policemen after the raid, the girl with tears running down her cheeks.

The parents said the wedding had been arranged to end an eight-year feud between the two families, according to a report on Express News TV.

Mazhar said he had heard about similar cases in rural areas but "it is shocking to have this right in the center of the city."

The parents would be brought before a court on Saturday, he said.

A Pakistan Human Rights Commission official, Hina Gillani, said the maximum possible punishment for the parents was one month in jail and a fine of just over $10.

Body confirmed to be Hudson's nephew Julian King.

Officials have confirmed that the body found today inside an SUV in Chicago is that of the missing 7-year-old nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson. Hudson had offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her nephew, Julian King, who had been missing since Friday, when her mother and brother were found dead in their home.

Venomous Snake Bites 2 Texas High School Students in Class.

BIG SANDY, Texas — Two high school students bitten by a venomous snake in science class are recovering at an East Texas hospital.

School officials in Big Sandy said Tuesday the students were bitten by a cottonmouth snake their teacher had misidentified as non-venomous. They were taken to a hospital Monday when their hands began swelling.

Big Sandy Superintendent Scott Beene said Tuesday the students are OK but remain hospitalized for observation. The snake was given to a nearby zoo.

Beene said the school district would revisit its policies about bringing animals on campus

Kids Found Living Among Rattlesnakes in Filthy New Mexico Home.

DEMING, N.M. — Two Deming residents were arrested on child abuse charges after Luna County Sheriff's investigators found four children living in an unkempt home where rattlesnakes were caged in chicken wire.

Frederick Probst, 31, and Heather Billy, 22, each face four counts of child abuse, a third-degree felony. The children — ages 7, 3, 1 year and 6 months — were taken into custody by state social workers.

Deputies responded Friday to a report of a 3-year-old boy walking and running barefoot.

They discovered the children at a home that had a non-working toilet, dirty dishes piled in a sink, no running water and a child in soiled diapers. The home had animal and human feces inside and other evidence of poor child care.

All this "snaking" has got me scared!

Giant Spider Caught on Film Eating Bird in Australian Backyard.

An amazing image of a mammoth spider devouring a bird was taken in the backyard of a property near Cairns, Australia.

The image, which is being cirulated via e-mail worldwide, is real, according to wildlife experts, The Cairns Post reported.

The photo, believed to have been taken earlier this week, shows the spider clenching its legs around a lifeless bird trapped in a web at a property near Atherton, west of Cairns.

Joel Shakespeare, the head spider keeper at NSW's Australian Reptile Park, said the spider was a golden orb weaver.

"Normally they prey on large insects, it's unusual to see one eating a bird," he said. Shakepeare said he had seen golden orb weaver spiders as big as a human hand but the northern species in tropical areas were known to grow larger.

Shakespeare said the bird, a chestnut-breasted mannikin which appears frozen in an angel-like pose in the pictures, is likely to have flown into the web and got caught.

"It wouldn't eat the whole bird," he said.

Russian Children Admit to Killing Baby Kangaroo at City Zoo.

Police in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don say three children aged 10 to 12 have admitted killing a 10-month-old kangaroo at the city's zoo.

The kangaroo and several seagulls were killed over the weekend.

Rostov police spokesman Alexei Polyansky said Thursday that the two boys and a girl admitted the killings. He did not say how the animals were killed, but Russian news reports said they were beaten.

Because the children are minors, their parents could be required to pay fines equivalent to the estimated value of the dead animals — $4,300.

The zoo's deputy director, Nina Yevtushenko, said its other seven kangaroos are in a state of shock: "In contrast to people, they feel the pain of their relatives."

That was terrible!

Little Girl Killed Riding Tricycle Outside Her Colorado Home.

A Colorado girl died Wednesday when a car backed over her as she rode on her tricycle outside her home.

A friend of her family was pulling out of his neighboring driveway and did not see the 4-year-old girl on the tricycle, MyFOXColorado.com reports.

The 51-year-old neighbor rushed the little girl and her mother to the hospital.

The child died shortly thereafter.

Please be careful when you ride bikes. Watch for cars and wear your helmet. What a tragedy!

Chicago Teen Charged With Killing 8th-Grader Warned the Boy of 'Death List'

Prosecutors say a Chicago teenager charged with murdering an eighth-grader warned the boy a few days before the shooting that he was on a "death list."

Friends and family say Sameere Conn stopped in a store on Oct. 1 after playing football, and was shot by a gunman who fired through a window.

Prosecutors said Sebastian Rodriguez fired the shots that also wounded a 27-year-old man.

During a bond hearing, Assistant State's Attorney Maria McCarthy said the defendant and another witness had a three-way phone conversation with the victim three days before the shooting.

She said Rodriguez told the victim that he had a "death list" with the victim's name on it.

Cook County Circuit Judge Raymond Myles denied bail Tuesday for Rodriguez, who was charged as an adult.

Kids need to stop all this violence!

Fifth Grader Dies From Recess Football Punt.

A fifth-grade boy died after a football hit him in the throat as he blocked a punt at recess.

He collapsed immediately and could not breathe. Principal Carol Whitten said students summoned a teacher who attempted CPR while other staff alerted the Lake Oswego Fire Department.

The boy, whose name has not been released, died at a Tualatin hospital shortly after Tuesday's incident at Palisades Elementary School in Lake Oswego.

None of the other students knew the injury was fatal until Whitten e-mailed parents at the end of the school day, asking them to tell their children.

What is going on? Kids are dying all over.

Police in Rialto say an 8-year-old girl has been found hanged in her bedroom and investigators are trying to determine if it was suicide or an accident.

Lt. Joe Cirilo says a frantic 911 call sent officers to a home shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday. The girl's body was found hanging from the top of a bunk bed with a belt around her neck.

Cirilo says the girl was last seen alive less than an hour earlier, doing homework in her room. Her grandmother, who was her legal guardian, became concerned when the girl didn't respond.

The door was locked, so family members jimmied it open and found the body.

Cirilo says there's no sign of foul play. Officers checked the girl's computer, cell phone and text messages but didn't find a suicide note or any indication she was considering taking her life.

Boy, 12, shot as he does homework!

Authorities arrested a suspect Thursday in the death of a 12-year-old Illinois boy who investigators said was shot in his home as he did schoolwork.

Prosecutors charged Marcus Powell with first-degree murder in the drive-by shooting death of Delarrian Davis.

Capt. Brad Wells with the Madison County Sheriff's Department said Delarrian was minding his own business when he was killed early Tuesday at his home in Madison, Illinois, just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis.

Investigators found pencils and notebook paper near his body, indicating he was working on homework. A neighbor said she saw a man drive up in a car in front the house, turn off the headlights and fire shots into the home.

Powell, 27, had eluded authorities wanting to question him about the shooting until he surfaced near this St. Louis suburb Thursday morning, officials said.

After a chase, Powell was found in a shed at a mobile home park, said resident Bruce Koelling, who saw the capture. He said about 45 officers converged on the shed, sent in a dog and the entered the shed with guns drawn. Koelling said he heard Powell yell, but it appeared he surrendered peacefully.

Several schools nearby either closed for the day or were placed on lockdown during the manhunt.

7-Year-Old Breaks Into Zoo, Feeds Live Animals to Crocodile!

A blank-faced 7-year-old boy broke into a popular Outback zoo, fed a string of animals to the resident crocodile and bashed several lizards to death with a rock, the zoo's director said Friday. The boy jumped a security fence at the Alice Springs Reptile Center in central Australia early Wednesday, then went on a 30-minute killing spree, using a rock to slay three lizards, including the zoo's beloved, 20-year-old goanna, which he then fed to "Terry," an 11-foot, 440-pound vsaltwater crocodile, said zoo director Rex Neindorf.

The boy, whose deadly acts were caught on the zoo's security camera, also threw several live animals to Terry over the two fences surrounding the crocodile's enclosure, at one point climbing over the outer fence to get closer to the giant reptile. In the footage, the boy's face remains largely blank, Neindorf said. "It was like he was playing a game," he said. He killed 13 animals worth around $5,500, including a turtle, bearded dragons and thorny devil lizards, Neindorf said. Although none were rare, some would be difficult to replace, he said. "We're horrified that anyone can do this, and saddened by the age of the child," Neindorf said. They are gonna sue his parent!!!!

UDDER CHAOS: CRAZY FAT LADY IN A COWSUIT CHASING KIDS!

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Police said a Middletown woman was arrested for disorderly conduct while she was wearing a cow suit. Officers said Michelle Allen, 32, was chasing children on Monday night and reportedly urinated on a neighbor's front porch.

An officer told Allen to go home and stay there for the remainder of the evening, but a short time later, they found her in the street blocking traffic. Police said Allen appeared to be intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Geez look at those nipples! Scary!!!

Melamine-Tainted Candy Found In America!!

Remember that poison that made babies sick in China? They found it in candy in the States! The Department of Consumer Protection warned consumers Wednesday not to eat "White Rabbit Creamy Candy," imported from China and distributed by Queensway Foods Company Inc. of Burlingame, Calif.

The candy were on several Connecticut store shelves the week of Sept. 29 by agency food safety inspectors and removed, agency Commissioner Jerry Farrell Jr. said. Tests by the Connecticut Agriculture Experiment Station Laboratory have determined that the product contains melamine, he said.

I went to school one day last year and Mrs Moro grounded me from recess because a kid reported me saying "pussy." The problem is that I don't know that as a bad word. I was only talking about our neighbor Ms Karen's new cat. It is called a pussycat. But my teacher taught I was talking about a bad word used by grownups to depict the private part of a woman.

What about Dick? My mom calls a friend of ours Dick and she says it's short for Richard as Bill is short for William. how is that? If she says Dick, can I call my friend Richard Dick too?

Life is not fair! Why ask why?

PEOPLE ABANDONED A TOTAL OF 11 KIDS AT THE SAME HOSPITAL IN 24 HOURS!

Two more children have been left at hospitals since a father dropped off his nine children at Creighton University Medical Center Wednesday night.The state's Department of Health and Human Services confirmed that an 8-year-old boy was taken to Immanuel Hospital at 5 p.m. and an 11-year-old boy was taken to the same hospital at 8:30 p.m.One of the boys was placed in foster care and the other is still at the hospital undergoing evaluation.
